A Turkish defense company is set to introduce a series of new drones with high-tech capabilities to be used in anti-terror and security operations, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on May 7. The new drone family, which was developed by STM Defense Technologies and Engineering Co. for the Turkish Armed Forces and the Undersecretary of Defense Industry (SSM), will first be exhibited at the 13th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) between May 9 and 12 in Istanbul. STM’s “kamikaze drones,” which have the capability to strike and hit, and autonomous drones, which are equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms for monitoring, will be used together in operations. One of the drones is “Alpagu,” which means a brave person who fights against an enemy. The Alpagu drones, which can be used both autonomously or manual, have fixed wings and can be launched from a lancer. This drone can be made ready in just 45 seconds, according to the report. “Doğan,” which was developed for monitoring purposes and uses artificial intelligence algorithms, has fairly high optical zooming capabilities and high flight performance. The Doğans are planned together with kamikaze drones, such as the Alpagu and “Kargu,” during security operations, according to the report. IDEF has been held every two years since 1993 in Turkey with the attendance of both governmental and business sector representatives from around the world. The four-day event will be held under Turkey’s auspices and under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. It will be hosted by the Defense Ministry. During the high technology defense industry fair, nearly 800 companies from more than 50 countries will present the latest vehicles, equipment and systems used in defense, security, maritime, aviation and space industries, as reported by Anadolu Agency. Additionally, the fair will host 493 high-level foreign delegates, including ministers, deputy ministers, chiefs of general staff, army commanders and defense procurement officials from 76 countries and international institutions. Over 2,000 prearranged meetings and a series of agreements are expected to be made at IDEF 2017.

Turkey's space travel begins Turkey's space adventure begins in March. The satellite materials to be tested were sent away. Minister Arslan said, "We will carry out a space in the name of Turkey" Turkey will begin testing for the first time in its history to develop technology in an open space environment. The materials used in the satellite technologies sent to Japan's KIBO Space Module at the International Space Station (ISS) will be tested directly in the open space after the material is placed in the test facility at the end of March or early April. At the end of this year, Orbital Transport Ministry Experimental Satellite (UBAKSAT) will be sent from KIBO Space Module.   TECHNICAL MATERIAL SENDED Materials to be tested were sent to the International Space Station of Japan's Tanegashima Satellite Launch Center on December 9, 2016, using the H-IIB rocket carried by the Japanese cargo ship. At the end of March or early April, the materials belonging to Turkey will be placed in the test facility and tests in open space will be started. The material to be subjected to the test in space for about 1 year will be brought back to Turkey and the effects of exposure to space will be observed. Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, said: "With this operation, a first in space studies will be realized and a material to be used in the development of our satellite technologies will be sent back to our country from our country and brought back to Turkey." Within the scope of the cooperation, testing of the materials used in satellite technology developed by ASELSAN in the KIBO Space Module of Japan, which is located in ISS, will start in a short time outside the atmosphere.

Greetings and praises for ISRO from various ministers, Bollywood stars and other eminent personalities flooded Twitter on Wednesday as the space agency created a world record by successfully putting 104 satellites into orbit. The Indian rocket Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) lifted off successfully with 104 satellites, including the country's earth observation satellite Cartosat-2 series, from the Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning. ISRO has consistently been in the headlines over the last few years for its rapid developments in space technology, including the cheapest Mars mission ever designed and its indigenously built cryogenic engine that will be the first step towards putting heavier loads including humans and large satellites into space. But how does ISRO stack up against other space organisations, both government and private? There are two ways to assess this: technological developments and commercial growth. The Cold War era of intense rivalry between the US and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics led to a “space race” after the USSR launched Sputnik I, the world’s first satellite, in 1957. The two countries pushed each other to the limits to send ever-larger satellites and finally humans into space and to the moon. The European Union, Japan, Canada, Russia and the US jointly operate the International Space Station, a habitable artificial satellite. These countries also have the world’s premier space organisations that conduct both research and launches. While the US and Russia have scaled back on human spaceflight, China is still pursuing this technology. It sent its first astronaut into space in 2008. Neither the European Space Agency nor the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency have independently sent humans into space. Along with these five, India’s is only the sixth space agency in the world to have complete launch facilities, to operate cryogenic engines and to send probes to extraterrestrial bodies. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Forgein Chinese Media Debate on india's suscess in space technolgy by launching 104 satellite" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Smd61n1ls4 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
